Analyst, Jr QA

 

Role summary

The Junior QA Analyst is responsible for the successful execution of quality assurance related to HR Services Web and Mobile Application. This will include both manual and/or automated software testing, with the goal of improving our product deliverables, software development processes, methodologies, and technologies.

 

The Junior QA Analyst works closely and collaboratively with the Senior/QA Lead, as well as with Software Developers and Product Managers.

Main responsibilities

  • Comes up with ideas and proposals; can come up with helpful, creative solutions.
  • Handles adversity and knows how to translate challenges into positive actions and to achieve set objectives.
  • Can work under pressure with good quality performance, makes the right decisions, and determines the correct priorities.
  • Analyzes Business and Functional Requirement Documents and translates them into test scenarios and scripts
  • Quickly gains hands-on requirements analysis, test scenarios/test case preparation and test execution skills
  • Follows organization testing policies, standards, checklists and procedures in day-to-day testing activities
  • Ensures all testing tasks are completed on time and meets deadlines
  • Designs and implements new QA tests for existing functionality
  • Executes QA Test Plans against product releases
  • Produces and maintains QA Documentation to agreed standards
  • Ensures bug/fault reporting is done promptly
  • Works with the QA Lead to create Test Plans & Test Specifications
  • Designs and implements new QA tests for new or existing product functionality
  • Creates and executes high quality test scripts against product releases
  • Collaborates with the Functional and Development teams to understand the design and functionality of various assignments
  • Makes appropriate use of automated testing tools in all QA activities (as applicable)
  • Ensures that the QA & Compliance  model is used for all projects
  • Performs system, functional, regression, UI and any other testing as specified in the test plan/test strategy
  • Exhibits expertise in testing complex user interfaces
  • Updates Process Related Reports and Documents
  • Supports the UAT teams by providing any information whenever required
  • Makes appropriate use of automated testing tools in all QA activities (as applicable)
  • Installs software and upgrades databases as required
  • Makes appropriate use of automated testing tools in all QA activities (as applicable)
  • Participates in development projects as per the QA & Compliance model
