Position Title:

Procurement Operations Manager 

 

 

Summary of Position

 

 

Reporting to the Head of Procurement the Procurement Operations Manager is responsible for establishing and providing Procurement focussed transactional and financial analysis and reporting, performance metrics, content management, Ariba and RFx support team support, contract management and P2P process compliance and improvement.

 

Provides support to the Global Category Managers and the Procurement Sourcing team (Hyderabab)

 

This position will have dotted line reporting to the Global Category Managers.

 

 

Accountabilities

 

 

  1. To develop and provide effective Spend Analytics analysis and reporting via SAP systems/products, NGA in house applications, MS office suite.

 

  1. To analyse and interpreting spend data, developing and presenting coherent recommendations and structured plans of action. 

 

  1. To work collaboratively with the Global Category Managers and the Manager, Procurement COE, and Shared Service Centre teams to provide best in class analytics, processes and solutions to enhance the value of Procurement and support Procurement stakeholder engagement.  

 

  1. To develop strong working relationships with the Global Category Managers and Procurement Centre of Excellence to develop Procurement Operations strategies and roadmaps.

 

  1. Continues development of the Procurement intranet site to meet team and stakeholder needs.

 

  1. To interpret business issues and needs, then translate them to well defined and documented requirements for developing the processes and solutions required to support the business

 

  1. To develop, maintain and deliver reporting to the Head of Procurement performance metrics (KPI’s) including the tracking of cost savings, support requests, delivery against agreed internal SLA’s and work in progress etc

 

  1. To provide compliance reporting against programs and policies on an on-going basis

 

  1. To manage and develop one or more Procurement Analysts in the delivery of the above. 

 

 

 

 

Dimensions of the Position

 

Reports to Position Title: Head of Procurement

 

Scope of Responsibility:  

 

Provide analytical supports to the Global Procurement team of 12

Global Spend approx £100M / 2500 suppliers

Maintains multiple databases/ sources of information (10 – 15) 

Develop and manage the Procurement intranet site

Supports the total Enterprise business

Engaging with SSC on Global programs

Business Knowledge/Educational Background

 

Essential:

  • Microsoft Office Advanced

  • Previous P2P / AP experience  procedures and techniques

Preferred:

 

  • Experience in Process analytics /workflow creation and reengineering
  • Experienced in Content management, Intranet site management (SharePoint), custom tools 
  • Experience of a working large multinational organization and working within a matrix management environment
