Windows Server Admin, Senior Associate

  • Provide hands on technical support related to the overall health and maintenance of the Windows operating environments in support of 24/7 operations
  • Perform remote monitoring of server/system health and status using provided tools (BMC Proactive net)
  • Ability to decompose complex problems to ensure timely and accurate resolution of system anomalies before they impact operations.
  • Participate in rotational pager duty to provide on-call support, including off-hours server administration and problem escalation
  • Plan and execute the installation and configuration of Windows server operating environments within the data centers
  • Performance and capacity management of the server environment
  • Design and execute disaster recovery plans
  • Backup and recovery of the server environment


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years Windows administration experience
  • Windows 2008/2012, 2016 practical and proven experience.
  • Storage Administration experience (SCCM & WSUS)
  • Experience with Collaboration tools (O365 & skype)
  • Virtualization experience and strong understanding of the concepts (VMware)
  • Experience with managing large Active Directory, Patching etc...
  • Experience with the various Windows protocols & services (WINS, DNS, IIS, SFTP, Terminal Services)
  • Storage Administration experience (NetApp 7-mode, cDot, snap drive, Snap Manager)
  • Strong understanding of the iSCSI protocol.
  • Experience with backup tools (NetBackup / Commvault)
  • Scripting or programming experience (PowerShell)
  • ITIL Foundation V3 certified is an asset
