Execute payroll processing for client. The Payroll Associate will process, analyze, research, validate and correct payroll issues for the client’s employees on a weekly basis.  The Payroll Associate is responsible for processing and submitting payrolls according to the client’s service level agreements.  Assist in correction and resolution of all data generated fatal errors that would prevent client's employees from receiving proper payments.  Monitor and escalate all systems related errors that would jeopardize delivery of accurate payroll data from HRIS system. 

 Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for processing payrolls according to pre-approved dates and/or immediate requests from client.
  • Responsible for coordination efforts between client and other internal departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data for payroll processing.
  • Prepare and utilize query based system (i.e. SAP, PeopleSoft) reports to monitor data for all client employees.  Analyze and trend data to identify payroll-impacting errors.  Document any issues in the client’s tracking system.
  • Evaluate statistical data to determine root cause of issues and trends changes with client data using database and charting tools.
  • Coordinate with IT using root cause analysis to determine a programmatic solution to resolve any system related issues.
  • Identify the severity of issues and escalate jeopardy items to appropriate personnel.
  • Serve as liaison with IT production support to ensure data quality and integrity by identifying downstream effects of data input.
  • Responsible for making all data corrections that are not system related.  Utilize critical thinking skills, knowledge of client business rules and system functionality to make appropriate changes. 
  • Work under strict deadlines in order to meet contract deliverables
  • Subject matter expert support in production related issues for both client and operations teams.
  • Maintains and executes payroll files according to company and/or client policy.
  • Work with Training and Operations to ensure that trends are appropriately highlighted.
  • Research and resolve questions from management and client relative to processing of payroll information.
  • Daily, monthly and quarterly tax maintenance for the client.
  • Responsible for providing documentation of procedures.
  • Identifies training needs and proactively provides training on payroll processing to client employees and other operational staff resulting from their analysis.
  • May be responsible for research and reconciliation of expatriate and inpatriate payroll related data
  • Other duties, as assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or manager.
